Andrea Varca was born in 1963 in Torino, where he lives and works.
His degree is in Architecture and he is certified to teach Art and Art History.
He trained in drawing, etching and painting techniques under the masters Romano Campagnoli, Sergio Albano, Sandro Lo Balzo and Francesco Barocco; he also attended seminars at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, Heatherley School of Fine Art and Kunsthojskolen in Holbaek (Denmark).
He worked for several years on animated films.
He is currently a public school teacher and also teaches a course on figurative drawing in CSC/Scuola Nazionale di Cinema/Animation Department.
He exhibited in several well-known galleries in Torino, and in March 2007 had his first personal exhibition at the Wunderkammer Gallery.
In 2009 one of his works was selected for inclusion in the catalog of the Premio Acqui – IX International Biennial of Engraving.
